9Pandas Finish 9th-12th at The International 2023

Alexey “Solo” Berezin’s team concluded the group stage with a 4-4 record, which wasn’t enough to secure a spot in the upper bracket of The International 2023. In the Decider match, they defeated BB Team, earning their place in the tournament’s upper bracket.

9Pandas received a penalty from the organizers for being late to Media Day.

Organization’s Statement:

“We have some unfortunate news to share. The organizers have issued us a Level 3 penalty (-110 seconds of bonus time) for being late to makeup on one of the Media Days.

Although we believe a Level 2 penalty would have been more appropriate, this decision was made in conjunction with Valve, and we will not be contesting it.

Our determination to win has only strengthened!”

In the first round of the playoffs, 9Pandas lost 0-2 to the Chinese team LGD Gaming, sending them to the lower bracket, where they faced Gaimin Gladiators.

9Pandas were defeated by Gaimin Gladiators 0-2 in the lower bracket, exiting The International 2023 with a 9th-12th place finish and earning $67,000 at the year’s most prestigious tournament.
