Fierce and Shalfey in 9Pandas

In July, the organization announced the addition of Alexander "shalfey" Marenov and Artem "Fierce" Ivanov as the new captain and coach, respectively, replacing Denis "seized" Kostin and Andrey "Xoma" Mironenko.

Sport Director Dmitry "spirit" Veko noted that the changes to the active roster would significantly strengthen the team.

– "The guys bring with them success and vast experience from FORZE: we know that shalfey, a star player, delivers excellent results as a captain, and Fierce is known for his ability to elevate teams to a new level. I am confident that the skills these guys bring will refresh the Pandas' playstyle and open up new opportunities," added spirit.

In 2023, 9Pandas delivered a strong performance, securing fourth place at the PARI Dunav Party LAN in Serbia and winning the trophy at the next PARI Please. In early 2024, the team qualified for the PGL Major Copenhagen by defeating Astralis and reached their peak ranking, placing 20th in the HLTV rankings.

After a setback at the Major, the team quickly bounced back, winning the CCT Season 3 Europe Series 3 tournament in May.

In August, 19-year-old player Evgeny “r3salt” Frolov joined the 9Pandas team, replacing Timur “clax” Sabirov. The organizations 9Pandas and Aurora made a trade and finalized the details of the deal two days after announcing their new rosters.

9Pandas Qualified for PGL Major 2024

Under the captaincy of Denis “seized” Kostin, the team secured the final slot for the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 – the first major in CS2.

9Pandas – Champions of PARI, PLEASE’23

9Pandas triumphed over their opponents Eternal Fire in the finals of PARI, PLEASE’23, securing first place and earning $60,000 in prize money. The Pandas won three out of five maps, finishing the match with a commanding 3-0 score: 13-9 on Anubis, 13-7 on Overpass, and 13-11 on Mirage. PARI, PLEASE’23 was the first B-tier LAN tournament victory for the Pandas.
